I don't live in a fancy apartment or have a lot of money, but I do alright.
I live in a crazy world with crazy people. And I think I'm okay with that.
I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada. I have a small two-bedroom apartment and I live in the basement suite. I have loud upstairs neighbors who I'd love to shake them around and toss them out their window, but we can't do that. It's just not legal. I would like to though.
I also live in the hood of the city, where you'll find drug dealers and some kind of criminal lurking around. I can't say too much, cuz I have friends who are on the other side of the law, and at times, they're okay to have around. lol.
My city is the capital of Alberta and we have a lot to do here, and it does cost a bit to live here. The city isn't the best to look at, and it is kind of dirty. We seem to be always fixing the roads or some kind of construction going on, but nothing really gets fixed. And they seem to take forever to do it. It's really silly.
Tons of bars, dance clubs, malls, site seeing sights, the grand trail around the North Saskatchewan River, West Edmonton Mall, Zoo, museums, restaurants, and the Wild Life Park just outside of the city going east on highway 16. We also have the Ukrainian Village. My family has an old cottage there from Ukraine. That's really cool.
The people here are different and each to their own kind of thing, with this Covid- 19, makes it easy to have an excuse as to why I never meet anyone or why I don't have too many friends. I used to. Just not so many anymore. Grew up and moved on or away.
That's about all I can say, this city is not a place to expect the best from. I came here with so many expectations at it let me down in so many ways. Won't get into that right now, but it's just not what I hoped for in life.
Other than that, it's a huge city and lots to do. Come visit.
